April 2022 retro

April has come and gone fast. And I don’t have much to say about it… So this month’s retrospective is in a slightly different format. Thoughts of just not writing a retrospective this month were loud. But it would be a shame to lose the 15 month streak or whatever it is.

April’s goals

The goals I set for April were to figure out what my next project is going to be, and to make some progress on Map of Strength. Neither really happened.

Figuring out what my next project is going to be has been hard. Though I’m getting close. One option is to build something just for the sake of it - just to gain some momentum (productivity wise).

Map of Strength on the other hand hasn’t progressed beyond a minor increase in traffic and a few gym submissions that I dealt with.

Which is all to say that I’m still burnt out on my projects. So it’s not really a surprise to me that I haven’t made all that much progress on anything. Even though I want to.

For some reason I decided to redesign this personal site. It’s not all that different - at least in terms of layout and format. I removed the old sass styling and replaced it with Tailwind (which is what I use to build everything now). The added benefit is that I have light + dark mode now. The colourscheme and font are both more calm too, so it’s a far more pleasant experience - at least for me, no-one else actually visits or reads this anyway.

April’s revenue from projects: $0
